If all men measured up to the standards of true sportsmanship, there would be no need for game, fish, and forestry laws. Neither would there be so much need for the laws that regulate human affairs in general.
But, in the fishing game, it is the true sportsman, with a love for the great outdoors, a wholesome respect for the welfare of others, and consideration for living and growing things, who sets the good examples for the youth to follow.
In reality, fishing games differ a lot from the other types of games that man has come to know. A fishing game is not a mere reflection of the activity itself but more of the love for fishing.
In fishing games, the angler does not go hunting or fishing only to gain the privilege of boasting over slaughter or material gain. He loves the lightning-like flash of the trout, the leap of the bass or muskie, the tug on the line, the whir of the reel, the thrill of battle with some “denizens” of the deep, and the companionship of other true sportsmen.
The Concept of Fishing Games
The most common type of fishing game is known as the “offshore game fishing.” In this type of game fishing, the anglers aim for the big lean fishes like the marlins and the tunas and the fishing is done in the sea.
Offshore game fishing is usually conducted as one type of recreational activity. Though, there are instances wherein this type of fishing game is also employed in competitions like the sports fishing.
Because of the energy being utilized in this type of recreational activity, offshore game fishing usually requires the biggest fishing boats. These fishing boats generally range from 30 to 50 feet in length.
The object of the game is to reel the fish in once it is properly hooked on the line. This can be a daunting task since the fish, especially if it is a big one, will have the tendency to pull away from the boat. The challenge is to reel the fish in while keeping the fishing line maintained on its specified tension.
The fishing game is not more of a competition for a true angler. Whenever they are doing this kind of activity as part of the game, what the angler really wants is to get in touch with nature, to breathe the clean, pure air, and muse in solitude in the wilds of nature’s playground.
Hence, in fishing games like offshore game fishing, the anglers like to play the game in strict accordance with the rules of reason and fairness at the same time conserve the value of fishes in the community.

Alright well i’m planning on bringing my girlfriend on a 6 hour TRIP and i would like to know where are some good places around the cape where we can walk and explore, hopefully near the beach for the sunset

expecting everything in one book is thinking one person knows it all and if one person did know it all wouldn’t they be the best in the world? I have read all these, every issue of B A S S , In -Fisherman, Western Outdoor News and I’m sure many more. These are the books I have at home. I tell many people wanting to take up fishing here on answers to go to the library and check out books written by tournament winning anglers they all know things others don’t and in their books they share it all.

The book basically outlines hunting techniques and equipment from ancient to modern times, written in a way ancient egyptiwn kings would get the most outof it i.e. what sort of rifles can be mounted to chariots and what traps can be set on top of pyramids.
I’m not quite sure exactly what your book is about – are you describing searching for ancient Egyptian tombs? But how can we tell you what you have left out when we don’t know what you have included?
Later – a Pharaoh would have no idea about rifles – they lay 1000s of years in the future. And what do you propose he should trap for on top of a pyramid? The mind boggles.
So you want to take up ice fishing but you have no idea what to look for when it comes to choosing the perfect shelters for you and your friends. You do not want to buy the cheapest ice fishing shacks because you are afraid that it will not last through more than one fishing trip, but at the same time you do not want to go all out and purchase some highly expensive mansion because you do not really know if you even like to ice fish.
Pitching a tent out there on the frozen lake bed is out of the question because the last thing you want to do is crack the ice and risk falling in, so what is an amateur ice fisherman to do?
Well, if you are smart about starting out your new sport than you should highly consider doing a bit of research online about what shelters are the best for your money.
An important aspect to remember with any shelters is that they are like miniature houses and you can always sell it if you discover that it is not exactly something you enjoy doing with your spare time. If the shelter is relatively unused you can probably get most of your money back too, certainly more than if you were to purchase a small boat for normal fishing.
Keeping the fact that you can always resell any fishing shelters you happen to purchase in mind, you should start your search for the perfect shelter with some of the best available to you. For amateur fishermen, portable shelters are the best way to go. That way you can more easily select the location of the shelter that you want and move around should you not choose a good location the first time. Furthermore, you can pack the shelter up and take it with you before the fishing season ends, it can even be collapsed and put into the back of your car or truck for easy maneuverability.
Now, if you have been ice fishing once or twice before and you know that it is a hobby you want to keep up, then you may want to invest in a full on cabin. These are the kind you have probably seen on television used by the professionals.
Cabin style ice fishing shelters are great for large groups and those who want to make a weekend out of ice fishing because you can even purchase them with optional sleeping areas for the perfect wintertime wilderness getaway.
