Why has this type of hunting died? Because nobody does anything in groups any more?
I noticed here in Los Angeles, you will see these forty year old signs near coffee shops. Kiwanis, Rotarians, Optimists, Lions, Oddfellows, etc. They all used to meet at the coffee shops. They all died. None of the bowling lanes near my house has active leagues. People all bowl alone.
I belong to a soccer league. I am now one of the people who has been there the longest, and I have only been in two years. People get mad at other people, they have an argument, they quit.
Why can’t people hunt in groups any more? Is is impossible for modern American to get along with anyone any more?
The reason it is not done any more is there are better ways to kill a deer. The drivers drove the deer, the standers guided them up a box canyon, or into a special area made they couldn’t escape and the hunter killed them with his knife. Try that someday for sport.
