What are some of the best hiking trails in Australia?

In South Australia is the Heysen Trail, 1200km from Cape Jervis to Parachilna Gorge in the Flinders Ranges

I was looking for trails in NSW, I know there are many (I’ve walked a few), and came across this site which seems to have done all the work already

If you haven’t done much bushwalking in Australia, please take note of the safety precautions in the aussiehiking site. You can get into trouble very quickly if you are not prepared. Otherwise, have a great time. Take a good bird book with you. I use Pizzey and Knight’s Field Guide to the Birds of Australia but there are quite a few out there.
