I need info for maggot farming for fishing bait purpose.books web sites,anything thanks in advance?

Well, I have been into all sorts of organic methods and never herd of maggot farms. Worm farming is fun and profitable and information is abundant on that subject. The best I can tell you on maggots is throw a dead animal into a bucket and watch ‘em hatch. One big problem is maggots turn into flies in just a few days. Not much time to sell them and catch a fish. Good luck.

    Because of what a maggot turns into this would be very difficult and you would probably get very ill and not make any money. Now worm or night crawler farming is a very lucrative business. Check out the links and let us know what is going on……you can really make alot of money with this business. And i am very serious. I love people with that entrepreneur spirit.

    Some "maggots",are the pupae of insects,other than house flys…the beetle pupae,which we call "meal worms" in the states would probably be your best choice,because of the slow transfer time,from "maggot" to beetle……I’m sorry I don’t have any scientific names for you,but try.."MEAL WORMS" or "MEALIES" …etc. Good Luck….

    When i was a boy the first thing my Dad and i would do when we planned to fish a stream or river with maggots,i suspend a squaw or sucker fish in a tree by its tail with a box of sawdust and a little hamburger in it it wont take long before the maggots are dropping out of the fishes mouth . a few days should yield results
